Any security SMEs in Chicago want to help update the Security+ exam?

Got this in my email today. If I were in Chicago, I would go.

I got the invite to work on CASP before it came out a couple years ago, and my employer at the time wouldn't let me go do it.

Now that I work somewhere that would not only allow me to, but would encourage it, I'm already scheduled to be out of state on these dates, go figure.

Man, there are so many events happening between now and November. If I ask for one more my people will think I'm interviewing. Ha!

I would actually try to talk my boss into letting me go without taking off work, but I'm not sure I really qualify. Any idea what they look for in an applicant? It just says "Security+ certified or equivalent," but that seems vague. My Sec+ is from pre-CE, I think 2010 or 2011, and hardly makes me an expert on its own.

I'm hoping to finish my CISSP well before I'm done with school, but not in time for this years' Sec+ conference, for sure, so that's out.
