Harddrive drive Identifier

Is it possible to change the harddrive identifier on a win 2000 machine.
For example if i have a drive which registers as f: and i want to indentify
this drive as c: , is it possible? I am not asking about changing the label.
Cheers,

Ed

Yes. There are aftermarket programs such as Partition Magic that will allow this, as will Windows too. Go to the Disk Management console. Be aware that if you do change a drive letter, any path that used the old drive letter will be invalid.

The windows Disk Management wont let you change the drive letter of a system drive, thats the only limititation (i.e. C drive). I believe the PQ magic one will as Ricka said.
