Yesterday I was attending this event "Administering SQL Server 2012 Jump Start, presented by Richard Currey and George SQuiLlace" for the
Microsoft Virtual Academy and they cited a couple of free books that maybe can be useful for you guys:
Mastering SQL Server Profiler and
SQL Server Concurrency: Locking, Blocking and Row Versioning but there are also other books on the site that are freely downloadable in epub or pdf format, like
SQL Backup and Restore or

these
The site is not very well organised but some of the books are free in ebook format, so probably you have to dig a bit to find others, but maybe it's worth a check

I've just started reading a bit of Introducing SQL Server 2012 and Upgrading to SQL Server 2012 (both available for free
here) so I've not checked yet if they're good, but I think it's interesting that they're specific for some activities like profiling etc...
