Step by step book for server 2012?
JerryL
I'm just starting to go over server 2012 and will be getting ready for test 410, installing and configuring server 2012. Does any one know of a book or set of books that take you through step by step on setting up the server as if you were creating the domain, installing the users and permissions, etc for a company?
The other books have lots of info, but working on the server as if it were a real company that you were setting up seems to sink in better because it seems more "realistic".
Thanks.
Jerry

This doc from M$ is pretty good for a step-by-step to set up a lab.

Hi Qord;
Thanks for the feedback. I looked at it and it looks good. What i was hoping to find is more to learn from installing Server 2012 to installing users, group policies, permissions, etc. The end result would be as if you had a company setup on the server that you were learning on, complete with users, groups, etc.
It would simulate setting up a server for "real life".
Thanks.

Have you checked any of the books covering 70-410? They all do what you want. Just go to Amazon and check the table of contents. Also, the Pluralsight (aka Trainsignal) and CBT Nuggets videos always work of the premise of a "Widgets, Inc." fixticious company and guide you through the whole thing.

This is the book you'd want.
