Hello TE friends, I am considering to spend 4-6 months for preparing GPEN.
Probably I will be taking some days off from work and attend an official training course.
Is there anyone here could give me some advice on this examination, like the exam format and can I do the practice exams at home?
Thanks in advance!

All the information you seek regarding the exam format and practice exams are on the GIAC site as well as existing threads here. Seek and you shall find. SANS 560 is a pretty fast-paced course and a solid intro to network pentesting. Are you planning on attending live instruction or taking it via SelfStudy or OnDemand?

yes you can do the practice test at home. Get a laptop for preparation, as you may want to try out some practical at home

I took the SEC560 OnDemand course and passed the GPEN exam today. It's like a CISSP for pentester. There are a lot of materials covered in this course (and exam).
