Microsoft expires?

I know the Cisco exams have to be renewed every few years, but what about microsoft? When I eventually get my MCSA and MCSE, how do you renew these(being that they are multiple tests)?

I plan to go the 2003 route just to stay with the latest material.

Although the exams eventually retire, the certifications do not expire. I.e. if you're an MCSE on Windows 2000 you will still be an MCSE on Windows 2000 when Windows 3006 is released.

Once an mcse always an mcse but there are changes in the operating system you would not be aware of until your either read a book, watch some nuggets or take an upgrade exam.
