Almost done with Wendell Odom's ICND1, now what? Todd Lammle?

So I have almost finished reading ICND1 by Wendell Odom's , doing labs side-by-side, watching videos. I am giving my self a month before I schedule the exam. Should I go through Odom's books again or start with Todd Lammle's ICND1 book? I did do a few chapters earlier of Lammle's book, but found WO's more easier to follow, and liked his flow and classification of chapters better than Lammle's. Should I bother with Lammle's book or read Odom's again? I will continue of course doing a lot labs and watching videos again.icon_rolleyes.gif

I liked Odom's book better for learning the material, Lammle's better for reviewing. (granted, I never finished Lammle's book - only read maybe the 1st 3rd or half.)

I think you should just crank out the labs, review any and all notes you made, then do practice tests. (I highly recommend Boson ExSim). You might not need to do more reading, just troubleshooting and review.

Lab, lab, lab, watch videos, review notes, and lab again. I am not a huge fan of practice tests for the simple fact the price gets pretty close to what the actual exam costs and you are doing similar vs exact exam material. I take notes when reading so I don't have to go back and read the same 20 something chapters. If you are using real equipment I would pick a few topics lab them a lot for a few days then change to others. You could also just go through and lab one subject per day.

It's a personal preference but I always prefer to read two author's. Sometimes the different wording just helps it stick with you.

I used Odom's and Lammle's books for both ICND1 and ICND2, but for ICND2 I also added Boson's Exams as well. First I read WO's cover to cover, then re-read each chapter's highlighted topics while doing each of the practice exercises per chapter, then the next day I did the next chapter plus the previous one, so on. After I pretty much knew them by memory because of practicing so much, I started doing Lammle's to just have a different wording on the topics and have a bit better confirmation that I would understand the concepts.
