The test was generally hard. harder than the XP one. It had 42 questions, but they werent all just multi-choice. There are some questions where you have to click the correct checkboxes in an image, like in the security tab. some drag and drops, and i got 3 sims. One on IIS, one on permissions, and one on Active directory (users and groups).
I am doing a course which covers alot of stuff, including 290. I had alot of time to do practical tasks, i think that helped alot. I also used the microsoft press book.
Just study hard and be confident, and i think you will do well!:) -

I had a 3 or 4 questions on users and a simulation. Not much on policies, not much on SUS. I had a simulation on IIS, but no questions (that i can remember). Around 3 or so questions on Terminal servers (i think i got these all wrong, some are quite hard) and i got alot of backup/restore questions.
If you have done the XP exam, alot of the stuff carries over, like the performance monitor, permissions, backups etc. (but dont skip studying these, there is some new stuff aswell) -
