Network+,Security+ & CEH

Hi all! Pardon me if this confuses you. I have a question regarding the path I am sticking right now. I took the Net+ Exam last year and then Sec+ by the end of this year. If I am going to take the CEH Certification which gives me 50 CUs, do I still need to renew my Sec+ Certificate after 3 years? Because 50 CUs are needed for the Sec+. I was thinking about a "ladderized" pattern. Please help me or clarify this stuff for me:) TIA.
