Upgrading from MSCDT to win 7 by 70-682

I have been looking at my cert planner on the MS website and it says I can pass the 682 to upgrade 2 exams. I notice this runs out at the end of January which would give me about 5 weeks to pass.

is it possible realistically and what books can I use, I also have plural sight access aswell.

or should I just go for the normal win 7 Certs?

Darril Gibson's book has been good so far for me. It covers a lot of information needed for windows 7. I haven't passed the 70-685 yet so I'm not certain on all of the material in the test, but its covered t he 70-680 fairly well even though its not noted for it.

As long as you're comfortable with Win7 the 682 shouldn't be too bad and seems plenty doable by the end of January. I took the upgrade route from my MCDST via the 682 last year and used the 70-680 and 70-685 MS Press books along with CBT Nuggets with good results.

The 682 exam is split in two parts of I think 25 questions each. One part for 680 and 685. You need to pass both parts.

I used the 70-680 cert guide by Dan Poulton, 70-685 book from MS Press, CBT nuggets videos and MeasureUp questions. Plus hands on experience came to play in several areas.

The beauty of passing the 682 is you gain MCITP, MCTS and MCSA credentials.

    Good luck!
