Who will be first? Nat or Routing
dellpe
Hello, everybody,I got another problem in here.
Recently we are deploying our network, I got my
cisco 2960
router. Now, I get one problem about it, because we have two ISPs, so I wonder
does nat occur before or after routing? I couldn't find any explain about this from the datasheet in cisco.com.

Hi,
When the router receive the frame its check the destination address, then looks in the routing table to where the frame should be forward, and then does the nat translations.
so i would say that NAT occurs after the routing.
If you have packet tracer you can see all the proccess in detail.

Routing occurs before NAT - so in your case of two ISP's you'll need to build some extra configurations
