Blockless / Unblock-Us and the sorts

I am just wondering how that actually works. A client has approached us whether we would be able to offer a similar service as they need to simulate streaming connectivity coming from the US to the UK and they have used services like that and also virtual machines acting as proxy. They also rent virtual machines from us in New York to do similar works but they are on a budget.

Now I read through services like Blockless and they seem to aim towards streaming sites so that would be a fit, but I just cannot quite understand what they do and whether we are able to offer them a similar service without using machines located in our NY DC or using a proxy.

Can someone shed some light on this ?
