Cisco VLAN Question

in CCNA & CCENT
Okay say you have two 2600 routers and one Catalyst 2850 24 port switch. You want to have the first 8 ports to use 2600A as the default-gateway and the last 8 ports to use 2600B as the default gateway. You have already created the VLANs and added the proper ethernet interfaces. 2600A is directly connected to the switches f0/1 using CAT5 and 2600B is directly connected to the switches f0/17 also using CAT5. How do you configure this? Is this possible to configure?

Yes, the routers will be able to communicate with the switches as long as the IP addresses assigned to the interfaces that are connected to each other falls in the same network.
In a very simple situation you have "a" switch which is divided into different VLANs and a switchport assigned as a trunk port connected to a router so that the PCs connected to different VLANs could communicate with each other. Here the VLAN 1 should have an IP address. This address, and the address of the Ethernet port of the router, should be in the same network. The default gateway configured in VLAN 1 should be address of the router’s Ethernet port.
