Allowing your SSCP to lapse if you have the CISSP

in SSCP
I know this has been discussed and I would like to pass on what I learned from ISC2:

VL,
Thank you for your inquiry. Technically, you can allow your SSCP to lapse and still be in good standing for your CISSP certification. If you have both a SSCP and a CISSP and no longer need to be a SSCP, the proper procedure is to request to have it terminated. You can do this by e-mailing Member Support at membersupport@isc2.org or by calling them directly at 866-331-4722 ext 4.
Regards,
Joel

I would personally renew both... anyways you went through the trouble of sitting in both exams. -

Depends on how much you want to pay per year to maintain them :P I'm planning to do the SSCP and then the CISSP when I have enough years in. After I pass the CISSP I don't to see the need to maintain the SSCP. -

Maintaining the SSCP only takes a couple of extra dollars and a few more CPE a year. Most institutions will pay your AMFs for you. -

I was wondering if someone from the TechExams forum submitted this question; it looked very familiar!
