Prerequsites
When I get my A+, will I have decent enough knowledge to study for my Security+ or will Network+ be beneficial? How much overlap is there? Will I need Network+ for other higher certs like CEH or SSCP? Not really sure where to put this. Please move if this thread is not in the right sub forum?

CompTIA recommends this order: A+, Network+, and then Security+ and each cert builds on the other. You'll notice overlap with the Network+ from A+ material, and with the Security+ from Network+ material.
You can do the Security+ before (or without) the Network+ but if you did it after Network+, you'll find it much easier. Also, if you plan on pursuing CEH and SSCP, then having the Network+ knowledge will certainly be beneficial.
