Are competitors considered stakeholders according to PMI?

Have not found a definitive answer to this one, does anyone have an idea if this is the case that competitors are a stakeholder for a project. Thanks

The short answer - it depends... for instance, if your organization managed to win a gov. contract that required closed coordination for transitional activities, then the competitor would be a stakeholder, but only as far as the transitional phase, not as far as the rest of the contract. It really does depend on the specific scenario, but yes, competitors can be considered stakeholders at times.
