Best answers to keep confidential when being asked by an employer for interview

I know there are certain things an employer needs to know. However, there are a couple questions in particular I ask myself if I should answer when interviewed. Moreso because the employer is using the info for hiring leverage rather than needed info. For example, should I really be telling the company my current salary? I just feel they could twist me around when it comes to initial pay.

I'm just honest and have nothing to hide. Either they are going to give me what I want or I'll find somewhere else.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

Just make sure you let them know what compensation you are expecting at your new job. Some places have policies where they can only give a candidate X amount or percentage over their current salary. Stupid, but it happens. A decent place worth your time will understand your salary requirements are independent from your current remuneration.
