Need some suggestions for how to prepare myself for landing a job

I received my A+, Network+ and Microsoft Specialist in Windows 7 last year but i remain unemployed. I'm starting to feel I wasted my time. Can anyone give me any advice of what I'm doing wrong?

Have you had anyone review your resume and give you feedback?
What kind of positions are you looking for? I'd go for help desk or desktop support type roles. That is where I am currently with the A+ and CCENT under my belt. Apply for Geek Squad or a similar job if you need to because any experience is better than none.
I think I was fortunate to land my position. I had no previous experience and 2 entry level certs. What stood out the most on my resume to my now boss happened to be that I put I'm an Eagle Scout. Not IT related but made her want to interview me over other probably more qualified people.

With those certifications, a solid perfect resume and the right attitude you should be able to get a job no problem.
Post up your resume for us to take a look at. Are you getting any/many callbacks? How/where are you applying?
