How long do you have to stay in help-desk?

Just curious how long do you have to stay in Help-Desk to start moving into higher position such as Sys admin position or Network Admin positions?
So just want to know the standard period to work in the Help-Desk and how long it took you to move up into higher positions?

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModOnly until someone will give you a better opportunity. Might be a couple months for someone motivated and might be years for another. Just work hard and show you have the skill to move up.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
