Windows server 2012 not Booting to the desktop after login

After Adding Remote desktop roles in windows server 2012 and restart the system and login with paasword, it showing blank screen and i can see my cursor.the desktop is just blank and dark

how do make the deskstop screen to show or revert back ?

did you somehow end up in Core? If so you might be able to use PowerShell to revert back. It isn't hard and you can get the commands from any cert book or website (I don't have them in front of me or you could get them from me). Can you boot in safe mode? Can you remote into the box?

Does task manager come up if you hit Ctrl + Shift + Esc? Maybe something is wrong with explorer.

The powershell command to revert to a full Gui installation is the following:

Import -Module ServerManager
then,
Install-WindowsFeature Server-Giu-Mgmt-Infra, Server-Gui-Shell -Restart

Please correct me if i am wrong.
