I have a computer, a series of switches, router and another series of switches before another computer.
Computer A === Switches === Router ==== Switches === Computer B
Why does the router only show the mac address of the computers but not the switches?

Switches don't insert their own MACs into the frame headers. Think of it as layer 2 preservation.Hopefully-useful stuff I've written: http://kimiushida.com/bitsandpieces/articles/
