In looking this up, I found two conflicting answers ....

IT Certifications | MCP | Microsoft

Q.Will I be able to earn a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification for passing exams
that count towards the MCSA: Windows Server 2008 certification?
A.You will continue to earn an MCTS for passing Exams 70-640 and 70-642 until January 31, 2014.
Also until January 31, 2014, when you earn an MCSA: Windows Server 2008 certification, you will receive
the MCITP: Server Administrator certification. After January 31, 2014, the MCITP: Server Administrator
and MCITP: Enterprise Administrator certifications will be retired.

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)

The MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 and the MCITP:
Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server 2008 R2 certifications will be retired on July 31, 2014.
You must meet all of the requirements for a certification prior to the certification retirement
date in order to earn that certification.

I called Microsoft and confirmed July 31, 2014 is the new retirement date.
