Books:
I used Odom's books for ICND2, and Lammle's for ICND1 and ICND2. I don't have a real preference over either. They both did a good job IMO.
Videos:
I watched CBT, INE, and Chris Bryant's UDEMY series. Out of these I liked the UDEMY series. INE was a bit too dry for me, and I didn't feel like CBT went far enough in depth.
I bought some routers and switches, but did the majority of my labs in packet tracer.
I used the Boson exams, and would highly recommend them if you are looking for a practice test to gauge where you are in your studies. Besides the books I feel like these helped prepare me the most for the exam. -

If I could offer up any advice it would be to take ICND2 as soon as you can after you pass ICND1.
