Made the jump from Mid to Senior tier today

I received the great news today that I've been promoted from a Mid to Senior Systems Administrator/Engineer. It came with a nice 30% raise and it will make life much easier now from the financial perspective.
I started posting here when I made the Junior to Mid jump, so it's been about 2.5 years to go from Mid to Senior. I've earned all of the certs under my name in the same time period and these forums have been instrumental in great discussions, learning, and all around good fun. Thanks to the TE community, and cheers to the future growth, achievements, and continuing to post on some of my favorite forums

Very interesting question as I reflect on it. TL;DR junior to mid.
Not more difficult in a technical focus, rather infusing professional confidence that I can indeed do anything (which I knew before). Once I could demonstrate it to myself, then I knew all future challenges would be completed without issue. -

lsud00d Member Posts: 1,571Thank you again to everyone!
@W Stewart, I was in a "junior" role for 4 years. I try not to reflect on it in a negative way because I learned a lot and it got me where I am today. I stayed in a comfortable spot and it was a lot of fun. I definitely sat in the same spot for too long but it all works out in the end. -

I am likely to get promoted to Sr this year as well, but somehow doubt I will see a 30% pay increase. I sure hope I do though heh -
