Amazon Interview
jm0202
Has anyone had an experience of an interview with Amazon?
I had my first phone interview yesterday.... Can someone give me guidance on how many interviews are in total and to expect in the next interviews?
Thanks

Check out glassdoor.com. It'll have reviews/interviews/job postings of most companies. All done anonymously by the people that either work there or have interviewed.

Check back a page or 2 there was a thread in the past 2 weeks talking about Amazon interviews, what was done, etc.
But from what I been told I had a friend that worked there and had no complaints about it. He left so he could move back here and be closer to his family.

I interviewed with them in July.
They flew me out to Seattle. My interview sessions started around 10 AM. I think I had 5 interviews total.
2 normal interviews, 1 character interview during lunch, and then 2 more after lunch.
I interviewed for a position as a sr systems engineer. I was up front and told them that I did not have much experience coding. One interviewer acknowledged this and still asked me coding questions anyway. I think they do this do put you out of your comfort zone and see how you would react in a situation.
I had a pretty positive experience, but I ended up turning the position down.

Interviewed with them, 2 phone interviews and in person infamous loop.
Be passionate, know your ****, leadership principals and research the company. If you're in person it means you are being considered amongst a global pool of workers, it's terrifying and glorifying.
