Howdy. Im on the verge of getting my associate degree in a few months. I have no idea where to go. Ive been told my degree will only transfer in the Gen. Ed units. Since my degree is in electronics with emphasis as a PC technician the Major units would essentially become useless? I dont particularly want to spend another 2 years earning another 60 units to transfer to another college such as a state school. I really wanna move forward but dont know how to proceed. I dont think WGU is for me as i prefer a classroom environment. I was thinking maybe a school like Coleman or Phoenix but am afraid of how id be able to afford it without undertaking massive debt. Any advice?

dmoore44 Member Posts: 646Who told you they won't transfer? The best thing you could possibly do for yourself is to speak with a counselor at your current school. 2-year schools usually have some sort of transfer agreement with 4-year schools, and would be able to tell you which 4-year programs will be a good fit for you.
Off the cuff, if your 2-year degree is in electronics, then you should probably look towards an electrical engineering program...Graduated Carnegie Mellon University MSIT: Information Security & Assurance Currently Reading Books on TensorFlow -
Dragonranger Member Posts: 101Thanks for the reply. I've been talking to classmates as well as friends at 4 year schools. I did look on my college's website and I do see they have guaranteed admission for some degrees. Mine is not on that list. My degree will say electronics but really it was all information technology classes. Such as networking, computer repair, a+, network+ prep courses a CAD class for some reason and stuff like that. So when I make the switch I would like an IT or networking degree.
