I submitted my resume to a Healthcare IT director about an internship I found out about. He contacted me back through email asking me for a good time for a phone interview. This is what I've come up with a response so far.

Mr. [Last Name],
Thank you for considering my resume for your internship position at [Health Care Organization]. I am available this afternoon or anytime Tuesday for an interview. Please contact me directly on my cell phone number at [number].
I am currently attending a full time IT training course that covers Cisco Routing and Switching, Security+, and Windows Server. The course is scheduled to end April 18th. I believe the skills, talent, and motivation I possess would make me a valuable candidate.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

How is this response? Any interview advice? He's already seen my resume, so he knows I'm A+ certified and working on my degree. My only background is in an unrelated career field in the military. I think I should focus more on my motivation and what I can do, instead of my past.
