Project Management certifications

I know about Project+, but are there any other Project Management certs that would be helpful? Also, some recommended material for Project+ and other pm certs?

The Project Management Institue certification which is Project Management Professional (PMP) is the king of PM certs. You do have to have experience to even be thought of for this cert however (ie experience is a prerequisite).

You can find out more details on their website.

I'm not sure about Project+ I try to steer away from Comptia certs.

Also make sure you download the PMBOK (a PDF published by PMI, should be free on the web... google...)

Is the exam tough or did you just find that you weren't suited to it?

What is a good book for Project+?

I don't think that many people have taken the exam, so maybe I should just go with the first decent looking book.
