Got a few question about DNS in wind server environment.
1) In what situation would you need to create a A-record? I thought when network device connect to the server it automatically creates an A-record.
2) In what situation would you need to create a PTR record?
3) MX records are used to point to an exchange server, correct?

2.) If the Clients or DHCP servers do not create them.
3.) MX records are for SMTP servers. Clients connect to Exchange with A records or Cnames. The MX record tells other mail servers where to send the emails
