Anyone made the switch? System Admin -> Network Admin

I'm thinking of a little career change and I've been wondering if anyone has done something similar. Currently I work as a Linux Sysadmin in the area of Web hosting. I'm getting tired of having to deal with Web Developers, has anyone else made the switch? How did you find it? Is it closer to what some would call "Engineering" or is it just same old-same old?
