Does the Mastering Windows Server 2012 R2 help out with the MCSA test if I read it first before getting started on the Microsoft books? I just bought this book off of amazon, and the reviews are pretty good.

I would not read the whole thing prior to sitting for 410, but it is certainly one of the more interesting books for MCSA out there. I would (well, am) maintain it as a key resource throughout your course of study, but there is no perfect resource. If you are not comfortable with how a topic is covered or want to know more about something, seek more information elsewhere. And if something seems completely beyond the scope of 410, then skip it! Save it for later unless you are really keen to learn it now.
