Hey all-

Just curious...any ideas for those that are in the field what it would mean if a job posting for network tech was looking for someone with "cabling expertise"?

Thanks....

Probably means they want someone that knows how to run and terminate cable. I'd assume Cat6.

If it's easy then you are good to go!

It could be that some of the previous employees were sloppy with their cables. Professional installers often make it look easy and everything is nice and neat when they walk away. It could also be a warning that you will be expected to run cabling in walls and ceilings which some techs might find objectionable.

    Good Luck
