I'm wondering if anyone heard of plans to update the MTA server fundamentals (365) exam?
It's currently all about server 2008.
i'm a new started system engineer, graduated bachelor IT with specialisation networking, finished networking courses in engineering as well. I would like to get some sort of validation through certifications and MTA seems a good place to start.
I now work for two months but i don't see the point in going for a server 2008 exam while we're already 2014.
i'm now doubting between networking fundamentals and security.
anyone have some advice?
cheers

I would shoot for a relevant certification, since you have degree/aptitude ect..I'm wondering if anyone heard of plans to update the MTA server fundamentals (365) exam?

I have been a big advocate of the MTAs on this forum, almost to a flaw, but I don't think these will really help you very much -- They are affordable and pretty easy, so if you want to go for it, go for it. But I don't believe they will be updating these to the most current technology any time soon..
Just like the OS fundamentals has Windows 7..
The security one was pretty interesting.. and the networking one is pretty interesting too.. those concepts are a little less specific to the server tech, so you could probably gain a little knowledge from those..
