My school offers free software to its students, and so I logically want to download Server 2012 R2, but there are multiple options. Can somebody please help me choose the correct one?
Datacenter
Dtacenter Debug
Datacenter Virtual Machine Core Preview
R2 Standard
R2 Standard Debug
Datacenter

Datacenter Virtual Machine Core Preview
R2 Standard
R2 Standard Debug

(Of course, as with anything in IT...I'd recommend you educate yourself on what is different about each version and identify what you want to use. Googlefu ftw.) -

I don't see any disadvantage of downloading the Datacenter or Standard. That's something people paying for the product need to worry about not you. I took advantage of this deal when I was still in school. -
