    Or if you do I always go with ones recommended by friends that have had good luck with them and for direct hire roles only.

    I personally like recruiters. Granted, you do have to filter out a lot of noise, but some of them are pretty decent.

    I'd suggest working with recruiters through linkedin, as you can check out their recommendations from clients, and use that as a filtering method.

    I'm with BGraves. Don't. I've not had any good experiences with recruiters.
