dial over external modem - help plz ; )

dear all,
this bcran section got me frustrated ; )
i'm trying to do a dial demand over an external modem (a generic rockwell/motorola 33.6k) - using aux port on 2501. done the dte wiring - but still not triggering any.
trying to copy my /etc/wvdial.conf about the modem config - not working either.
1. configure the line 1 :
modem autoconfigure type default
sh line 1 -> 38400
cts* nodtr ( i've forgot to copy it here... ; ) )
2. configure the chat script to start the modem,
3. configure async1 - done
read all cisco's doc about dial using external modem - non working.
any help would be nice... ,thanks.

done...
and now do the CIT
i guess field rules applied here :
- never touch your gateway because a user screamed he/she cant surf the web - heheheee.... the More I know, that is more and More I dont know.
