Can I upgrade to XP Pro from XP Home
Hi all..Happy Thanskgiving Please can someone tell me if I can upgrade from XP Pro to XP Home without loosing all my personal settings or do I need to do a full back up. Either way whats the best way to go about this and/or whats the best backup tool to use.

Do you really want to go from PRO TO HOME or did you mean the other round?? If you mean going from home to pro. Then run the files and settings transfer wizard start> all programs> accessories> systemtools.

And I want to knoe if I need to bacp up stuffs like favourites,My Documents, users specific settings,Outlook etcAll things work together for good........to them that believe.. -
TeKniques Member Posts: 1,262 ■■■■□□□□□□Just one thing to keep in mind. You need to have a newer copy of XP Pro to upgrade from Home or it won't work. For example, you can't upgrade XP Home SP2 to XP Pro SP1.
