Switch - Hub Question

Oke Everybody here is a question to ya all .....

E.G. > I got a network ( allready ) installed with 3 hubs, and now think to upgrade with 2 more hubs. Here is the question : Can i leave those 3 hubs how they are and put 2 switches more. Or do I have to put a instead of the 3 hubs , 3 new switches.

    If you have enough pc's that you need 3 hubs, I would be using switches anyway...

    I would also just use switches if you have them, but that would work anyway.

    As long as you are adding them, be sure you are within the 5-4-3 rule.

    Also, you could reduce traffic by putting the switches 'above' the hubs, closer to the backbone or server. But how your network is spread out would determine this too.

    go switches all the way, they can provide better bandwidth, depending on the vendor model you have alot more manageablity/functionality and smaller collision domains as which we all know that hubs but all pcs i the same collision domain which sucks but if thats all u got.
