Licensing woes
I was recently handed software licensing. What a PITA!! Worst task ever I say! Anywho, any of you pro's out there have any good advice? Where do you start when it seems like nobody else ever has? Once you've started, how do you stay organized? Do you use inventory software? I'm working on inputting data into Lansweeper; It's not the ideal management software choice for me, but I don't have any experience with any others. Thanks.

Paid solutions will usually include license reconciliation modules for tracking your installs vs. license count for you. More upfront but so much easier to manage. We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?
