Console logging

I recently started watching vids for my ICND2 upcoming test. I noticed in the vids that the teacher would point out things when the system logs an event. In the past, they have really bothered me, that I have turned them off on all of my devices.
When you are working with your labs, do you pay attention to the logs or simply turn them off like I do?
Reason I am asking people opinions, should I turn the logging back on and get use to it, because I can learn something from it, or not really?
They seem to come up at the wrong times for me.

Is that different then no logging at all? if so, what is the command?

Actually I just viewed a video on youtube showing me the difference.

logging console critical
Not a good mental habit to avoid logging, especially if the device needs to scream at you about something.Hopefully-useful stuff I've written: http://kimiushida.com/bitsandpieces/articles/
