Anyone ever have a one way interview?

Had a phone call about a NOC position this afternoon and apparently I'll be doing a one way interview Thursday or Friday. It's not the same as a Skype interview. From what I was told you read questions on screen and then answer them through a headset. That was pretty much all she said. Anyone ever have something like this?…

So on Friday I went to go take the interview right after work. Got through the camera/mic/everything else test and played a practice question. That was easily the most awkward experience I've had in a very long time. I don't know how to even explain it, but talking into a camera with no one on the other end like that is just weird. Adobe crashed halfway through the first real question. Tried again with another crash before the practice question could load up. Tried another computer and a few fixes with no luck. At that point I took it as a sign from God and cancelled the interview. I thought it was odd, most of you thought it was odd, my parents thought it was odd, and it felt super odd. I'll definitely pass on these types of interviews in the future.
