vlans 2950 switch

in CCNA & CCENT
when i make 3 vlans and then go into them one at a time and type the no shutdown command, only 1 of them is up and the others are down.
then i go into one of the other vlans that is down and type no shutdown and the one that was up changes to down.
they all have the correct ip addresses
could someone help

Judd Member Posts: 132Just throwing this out here, and could be completely wrong, but I had a similar issue with a 2950 in a lab once and realized that patch cables had to populate at least one port in each vlan for the line to stay up.

per you post it sounds like your trying to user 3 vlan interfaces on the switch(trying to use it as a mls)
