OpenSource Member Posts: 135"Cinco De Mayo", a holiday I've come to understand that while seemingly important (winning independence from Spain), is not actually celebrated in Mexico, for whatever reason(s). Another excuse for American's to get drunk? It would appear so!

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,101 AdminDown here near Los Angeles you always know it's Cinco de Mayo because the freeways are amazingly free of traffic. In fact, the same is true anytime there's a half-million Mexican nationals and ex-patriots at a "Reconquista" rally in downtown L.A. being led by the Mayor of Los Angeles himself, no less.
