I'm getting started with my home lab setup, and already am running into snags.
I have a workstation with 10.0.0.10/24 assigned. It is connected to fa0/0 on a 2960 router with 10.0.0.1/24. On Fa0/1 I have 172.16.0.1/30. Both interfaces are up/up. From the workstation, I can ping 10.0.0.1, but not 172.16.0.1.
What is wrong?

2960 Router? The only 2960 that I know of is a 24/48 ports 2 switch that has some basic Layer 3 routing capabilities. What's the exact model of your 2960 "show version" and can you paste the "show run"? -

The router is an 1841, my bad. I do have 2 Catalyst 2960 series PD switches though. I haven't been using them too much yet, as most of my labs have been using the 1841's.
Default gateway is 10.0.0.1.
When I was confirming my default gateway I decided I should turn off my wifi and afterwards, boom I could ping fa0/1.
Hopefully I'll get better as time goes on.
Thanks. -
