Nah there are a few people on that subreddit who are 100% against any online school and will argue and downvote anything that isn't a local B&M. I wouldn't sweat them.

I know some students, mostly younger, that can't stand the thought of working on an all online class. I think they feel more discipline going to campus classroom and sitting with a teacher. I've been doing an online degree from a small state university for a few years, and compared to my B&M school experience, I think the course content has been just as good as the first Bachelor's. What I prefer about the all online is that I'm can be more efficient with my time, using it to get coursework completed and learn rather than nodding off during a lecture in a classroom. I prefer to just go to the instructor if I have something I can't work out on my own.

Yep, everyone learns differently. I did my BS at WGU and loved the format. I was in less of a rush for my MS and wanted to try something different so I was doing an MS through a B&M but with the recorded classes online, the timing and pacing was so annoying it reminded me how much more I enjoyed the WGU format.

I just finished my 3rd WGU degree, and I really don't have any negative feedback about them. If they offered Doctorate programs and I wasn't maxxed out in student loans, I would go for it.

Looks like that's true.  WGU updated their page at https://www.wgu.edu/newsroom/oig-audit-report.html

The final determination paper from the Department of Education says:
"Based upon its review of the OIG's final audit report and supporting documentation, WGU's response to the draft of that audit report, and applying the same understanding of the requirements as the OIG did and the information available at the time, FSA believes the OIG's finding was supportable and understandable, but FSA does not agree with the corresponding recommendations regarding Finding 1."  It says the same about Finding 2.

At the end of the document, it says, "WGU owes to the Department $2,607.00".

Hopefully they'll allow Canadians to apply there again soon. Really was looking towards doing a BS there this fall.

WGU is solid I have no issues with them what so ever. This is what really shady looks like:

CTU sounds great then you read the fine print and it is not for any federal student loan. It is bad debt they already have written off yrs ago. So they say yeah we were shady and we admit it. Too bad though we have your student loan money and you are going to repay it. Really Really bad I am stuck in borrowers defense to repayment on student loans from them from 2007. Finished the degree and they said they had job placement which didn't exist. They said they could help find you a job that didn't have career services. They overinflated a lot of things and admit to doing so by this paltry bit of forgiveness which they likely would never be able to collect on any way. Too bad for us with student loans who have a degree before 2013 from them because we got ripped off and we have no way to recoup losses from them.
