Possible problem with a MC3810

I am having a strange issue with my MC3810. When trying to enable a FXS port, I receive "voice system not initialized"

Here is a show ver:

What router are you connecting too? More importantly does it have any dsp's installed?

Just did a show dsp. Looks like the router did not come with one.

From what I understand if you dont have any dsp's installed then the voice ports are not initialised. Hence the message you are receiving.

Hopefully someone else can confirm that, but I'll try to find a reference tomorrow.

That was my first thought when I read the show version output and didn't find an HCM (or older/lesser VCM) module listed.

If that spot next to the MFT-T1 is empty in the Chassis, that's where it needs to go.
