    Do not chase them.

I just got a new job and it went like this:

    - Interview Jan 14th
    - Heard nothing for 2 weeks.
    - chased the recruiter (not the employer) to find out what's going on.
    - Recruiter says they are having dept reshuffle and have put off the recruitment for a few weeks, but I am still in the running
    - 4 more weeks pass
    - 2nd round interview scheduled, despite being told there wasn't a 2nd round
    - March 12 the job offer comes in

It can take time, and you chasing them can put them off.

I'm sure there were times where the paperwork was waigint on the HR person's desk, and they could have moved a little faster, but generally it can take 4 or 5 levels of signing off before offering a job, particularly in larger industries.

To whomever gave me rep for my post to this thread with the comment "I want your e-babies", you can have them, provided you are female and reasonably attractive.

Dynamik, if this offer was from you, again, then eff off before I give your mother an angry dragon.

That wouldn't even phase her at this stage of the game. How is that a threat? icon_rolleyes.gif
