Assuming I take this program: http://centralaz.edu/Documents/class/Network%20Administration%20Certificate.pdf

I am going to look into getting A+ and Network+ certified, and possibly look more into some MCSA 2003 exams.

My question is, along with those classes, does anyone have a recommended study guide for help with the Network+? I've read people reading multiple books in preparation for Net+, but would is that really necessary if you're taking classes that touch quite a bit on networking? Or are these people reading tons of self-study books simply doing that: studying on their own?

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to look over a book or two, no? :D

Have you considered Chandler-Gilbert CC? Their Cisco program is rated one of the best in AZ. The program director Linda Watson retakes the CCNA and CCNP exams every semester to keep up on the times.
    Working on currently:
Masters Degree Information Security and Assurance (WGU) / Estimated 06/01/2016
Next Up: CCNP Routing Exam | Certified Ethical Hacker Exam
    Cisco Lab: ASA 5506-X, GNS3, 1x 2801 Router, 1x 2650XM, 1x 3750-48TS-E switch, 2x 3550 EMI Switches and 1x 2950T swtich.
    Juniper Lab: 1x SRX100H2, 1x J2320 (1GB Flash/1GB RAM, JunOS 11.4R7.5), and 4 JunOS Firefly vSRX Routers in VMWare ESXi 5.1

Oh wow, I have not. I just found the website now for Chander-Gilbert CC ... funny you should say that, I just got back from Gilbert; my friends and I went to Oregano's heh. The drive isn't too bad at all.

Gateway happened to be the first place I stumbled upon that had an actual Cisco program, but Chandler-Gilbert CC's program does look better, and the fact that it transfers over into a B.A.S. at ASU is awesome. Thanks for pushing GCCC, aj. I'll definitely look into this place in favor over GWCC.

Btw, I'm still taking that Central AZ program just to get a good start.
