Desktop Support Job: Impossible to get?

I've been reading these forums for almost a year now, but this is my very first post I'm finding it very hard and frustrating to get a "hands on" desktop support job here in Michigan (been hunting since January). I do have experience as Comp tech for a company but 5 years ago. I am gonna look at those certs that you just listed see if I can knock em out quickly. Im really trying to relocate before the winter comes which we all know in MI it comes really quickly.
