POE port didn't work?

So I had a little trouble with one of the production switches. Please keep in mind I had means to access the switch, as I wasn't allowed to do anything.
However from what I was told he restarted the port 48, and it worked. Likewise with port 41. He said the switch port 'hanged' and needed to be restarted. I've never heard of this, does this happen often?

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

cpohlad Member Posts: 43 ■■□□□□□□□□Out of curiosity, is this a PoE+ 48 port switch or just PoE? It is an important distinction because the plus designation means it can push power to all ports. A regular PoE 48 port switch cannot push power (especially if you had it full of 79x5 series phones).
